FEM Records - The Latest News & Updates

NEW ARTIST: Tiffany Lunn joins the FEM Records team

natsqTiffany Lunn - Cinematic / Downtempo / Chill Out

"I am one of the (hopefully) growing number of people who bought Tiffany Lunn's CD 'Escapism'. Being a bit of a fan of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and other instrumentalists, I was not disappointed... All in all, one very satisfied customer! It's definitely getting more 'airplay' in my car than anything else. And I'm listening to it at work, as I'm typing this... Oh well, one day I might pull my finger out and get writing again myself." - Andrew Partridge

Margaret Noble release to benefit Amnesty International

Contemporary sound artist Margaret Noble brings George Orwell's classic dystopian novel 1984 into the future by transforming an original vinyl recording into a postmodern soundscape of modern media, original and sampled music, timeless news reports and more.

All profits from the release will go to Amnesty International and Noble is currently looking for backing for the project by utilizing KickStarter.com Funding is all or nothing - if the project doesn't make the full goal then cards won't be charged. Additionally, there are rewards for backing the project: for $10 or more you get the full album with larger pledges receiving greater rewards. Check out a preview track here:

More recently Lali Puna, Yagya, Burial, a combination of jazz and Finnish folk music inspired natsq to begin working on her own music which maneuvers between electronic, experimental and ambient.
